From Art School to Aromatherapy: Crafting Wellness with Anoush

As a young creative, I dreamed of a career in the arts, juggling gigs as a portrait artist, illustrator, and ceramics assistant. But when the 2008 recession hit, those opportunities faded, and I needed a new path. That’s when I landed a job at a local health food store.

There, I got a crash course in green living—clean eating, natural remedies, and the power of swapping toxic habits for healthier ones. I loved helping customers make that shift and learning alongside them. Their stories struck a chord: so many struggled with sensitivities to conventional products. Curious, I started experimenting with essential oils at home to ease my own allergies and stress. Not only did they work, but they were gentler than drugstore brands—and my house smelled like a dream.

Encouraged by coworkers, I crafted a small line of colorful, quality oils to sell at the store. To my delight, customers didn’t just love the scents—they felt better. Headaches faded, sleep deepened, and their homes became sanctuaries.

That spark grew into Anoush, expanding from a single shelf to stores across the country and online. Today, I’m proud to offer you hardworking, great-smelling products that cut toxins from your life, rooted in the ancient tradition of plant medicine.

I know choosing healthier options can feel overwhelming, and it’s my goal to empower you with products you can trust. Looking back, I’m grateful that twist of fate let me blend my creativity with a purpose: supporting your journey to better health.
